My favorite recipe of this week has to be my vegan version of a taco salad bowl. I cook black beans with chickpeas until it is closer to a mushy consistency, then in a separate bowl add romaine lettuce, green pepper, cherry tomato, and red onion (all chopped). To top it off, I add sour cream, shredded cheddar cheese, and habanero tajin seasoning. I’ve also been experimenting more with tofu - the drying process takes a while but I enjoy using different sauces with the final product as it is virtually tasteless on its own.

Bone broth - although it’s not vegan, this is great simmered with chunks of turmeric and ginger and can also be incorporated in a variety of recipes. Super nutritious and my favorite benefits are its high vitamin and collagen content.
Banana almond smoothie - I had something similar at an açaí bowl spot in DC as well as Pressed Juicery and realized how easy it is to make at home. I blend unsweetened coconut milk, almond butter, dates, rolled oats, honey, and banana - tastes just like dessert!

Jamaican Black Castor Oil - although I prefer thin brows on myself, I’m trying to grow/thicken them out just a little. I used this religiously a few years ago and it worked so I am back to this routine but it does get a little messy throughout the night.
Farmacy Sleep Tight Firming Night Balm + Klairs Freshly Juiced Vitamin C Drops - I apply this duo almost every night and I have definitely seen an improvement in the firmness of my skin. I almost gave up on the Farmacy night balm but it began working almost two weeks after daily use so I just needed to give it time.
Exercise routine
Being realistic, I try to exercise 2-3 times a week - this is a major improvement for me compared to my nonexistent workout schedule around this time a year ago. I’ve been doing cycling sessions for at least 30 minutes to 1 hour as well as 1 hour on the treadmill with an increasing incline.
In 2021, I would like to be more of a minimalist which includes not buying duplicates or products similar to things I already own. My plan is to use up my current possessions (skincare, makeup, food) in order to avoid clutter/excess. I am on a streak of almost a week and a half into my goal.
